As of this ev...Its been a wierd fall for snow fall. As of this evening it is windy and mild in Coleman, all of the snow is gone from my yard and there is black ice on the side walks. As you get to elevation it is a different story, it is quite wintery and there are little lines of ice alover the place. Be very careful on leeward slopes as I bet they have loaded like crazy in the last couple of weeks. How is the snowpack in the area around the pass and divide? We'll be closer to Colman than Fernie, and the avi report doesn't have much to say yet. We will have all avi gear. Trying to figure out if this weekend will be best and if I should be renting skis or bringing the snow shoes. Nothing very thick, but there was glass all the way up. Kill Aisha was touching down, but a bit stout.
