Beautiful day for skiing or climbing.  We just got back from a short ski trip up the little dipper trail.  The chinook line is right at the Lineham trailhead right now.  That means Crandell was sitting at about -9, the townsite at -11, and the little dipper trail at about +2.   The tracks are in pretty good shape there.  A group of 6 or so was on the trail ahead of us.

The other week I thought I would poke around for some free webcam publishing software.  I tried evocam as its email function was supposed to enable auto-posting to your blog.  It didn't work.

From what I understand the Park will be running shuttles from the townsite up the Canyon.  They are doing extensive renovations to the whole area. You can drive up to the end, but you just can't park there. So far we have travelled the eastern side of the West Fjords, and are now in the North heading East.  Things are lovely.  Seeing the old sod houses has been quite an eye opener.  The beds from 1850 were only about 5 feet long.
