Finally......ice

Yes, the game is on!!!

Jason and i climbed R&D yesterday. Thin but protectable. A couple of guys on Ranger Falls and two more on Blade & Chalice. First Blood is in but nobody on it. Hopefully it cools back down this week. The chinook blowing through isn't doing the ice any good.
By the looks of Amiee's pictures, Midnite Madness would be ready in a couple of weeks if it stays cool. To bad we have to wait until sometime in November.

rock on Blair - looks awesome. I hope it cools down a bit. I was hoping for some mid November climbing...Does anyone know how early the Sofa climbs come in?

They will in be pretty quick but probably a little sporty though. I think the early season problem will be getting in there. You can head in over Sofa Mtn. or up Sofa creek. The problem with the creek is i think the deadfall and underbrush will be an epic in itself in the early season. Chris and i went over Sofa Mtn. a couple of years ago to try and avoid this problem but the wind ended up chasing us off but I think early season this is probably the way to go. Late last March Dave and i went in via Sofa creek. There was lots of snow to cover all the underbrush which made travel good and you don't have the elevation gain and loss to deal with. This would be my route of choice. I see Rapheal went in there last Feburary and he went in via Sofa Creek as well. I personally think Feburary/March is the time to head in once the avi hazard has settled down.
