Snow melting

The snow is starting to melt. Scrambles up Crandel should be good. Expect the descent route to have snow. Galwey may be doable, but there will be a bit of snow in the chimney. Hiking trails are slowly opening up.

We were up to Bertha lake on June 12th. You still have to work your way through a number of snow patches, but things are opening up quickly. I would imagine the lake will be at least partially free of ice by next weekend.

You could certainly make your way up Richards right now. You would have to step over one or two snow patches, but nothing insurmountable, or even noteworthy.

Galwey is clear, as are a few of the routes up Crandell.

The trails up Lineham and Lower Rowe are also pretty much clear.

The hike into Little Cameron (Akamina Lake) is also essentially snow free. I certainly wouldn't say that about Wall lake though.
