Tourist Routes

I believe this has been making its way around the blogosphere as of late, but in the spirit of tourist routes, I'll join in.

i dont have a pic handy, but if you get to spain take a walk along the "el camino del rey" in el chorro, 50km north west of malaga. a hundred years ago the king wanted to walk through the canyon so he had a walkway strapped to the limestone walls over 200m above the river. it has not been maintained since it was built. you walk it at your own risk. some very good sport climbs are accessed right off the falling apart walkway. there are bolts along most of the walkway, allowing those who choose to rope up and use the bolts for protection from the walkway possibly collapsing under your weight. some sections you have to jump over a 2m gap and hope where you land can support you! walking through the 3 or 4 active train tunnels to get to the start is exciting enough!
