AKAMINA PARKWAY CONSTRUCTION

Construction will be under way on the lower part of the Akamina Parkway, weekdays only, from May 19 to May 29. These dates are subject to change depending on how construction proceeds relative to conditions and supply/equipment constraints. From the Park Information Center

During this period, the road will also be closed each night from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Expect short traffic delays, as there will only be a single lane traffic through the construction zone. Please respect lower speed limits, and obey flagmen and signs. Your cooperation is appreciated.

The work includes installation of a culvert and binwall to stabilize a steep slope and to prevent the bank and road from washing out during floods.
