June Trips
Post em here if you need to find a partner.
Blair and I are heading up Expert's choice on Sat Jun 13 to try and get a new line up the prominent right facing dihedral. We're meeting at my house next to Tamarack mall at 8:30am. We have to get back early to go for a hike.

Doing Hawkins Horseshoe on the 27th... Hopeful start time of 6 a.m. If anyone has any experience on this ridge walk/scramble please share.
I'll see if I can track down some more info for you Nathan
I've gathered some info from the web... trailpeak.com has been helpful. We are planning on Blackiston first, hiking along Lineham creek to the ascent listed on trailpeak (reverse of the direction they took in their description). I believe from other comments that I have read that this would be the better direction/route, cutting off kms and time with a quick scree down from Lineham to Rowe Lakes.
Yes, that is the standard way to go. Head up the Lineham trail until the last open gully before you get to the where the trail enters the final basin before Lineham cliff. Once up Blackiston follow the ridge back to Hawkins and then on to Lineham peak. At Lineham peak slide down the talus to the Rowe lake trail and come out on that trail (you should hit that trail close to the lower lake junction)
Here is another good look with lots of good photos and descriptions of getting up through the small section of scrambling on Blackiston

Blair and I are going new routing at Expert's Choice Sat June 27. Lots of nearby route if anyone is interested.
