Drywood Conditions
On Sunday I was solo up at drywood checking things out. Didn't dare to solo any of the actual climbs but climbed up the ramble to the base of obliteration. Things are thickening up nicely. There is one pillar touching down on the left side. Also, the roofs look doable with a good solid curtain hanging down.(there out of my league but not for others on this blogg).
How were things up in K country or ghost? I believe that's where a few of you were heading.
Cheers,
Scott

We drove up the icefield parkway on friday and did not find anything worth climbing. I think the +9 temps on thursday melted the bottom off of everything. On Saturday we hiked into the Stanley headwall with half the other ice climbing population to climb sinus gully. It's pretty amazing how far people will hike for a fairly pathetic piece of ice in the early season, but all in all it was a good day and at least we got to dust off the ice tools. There was a great bunch of guys in there to climb with.
Chris how was Haffner? Did you actually get some climbing in? We heard there wasn't much there.
Good to see drywood is in hopefully we don't get a chinook before the weekend.

Shhh... Dont say the C word or it'll get windy and warm. I saw alot of cars parked at the Stanley parkinglot. Hafner needs another week or two, nothing was formed enough for leading so we top ropped a few mixed climbs and got a pump on. Met a few freinds at the bottom of Amedeuse and it seems they backed off early (didnt get to talk) but their truck was gone early. My buddy Ren and I laid a good set of sucker tracks into the alpine near Evan Thomas creek. Beautiful country but no frozen waterfalls. I cant wait for the weekend

PS The wife gave me permision to go play on Saturday if anyone wants to take their gear for hikes into chinook(oops) country let me know.
